Founded in 1998, FatCow has made a name for itself by providing web hosting services to small and medium-sized businesses.
FatCow is owned and managed by Endurance International Group (EIG), the company that also owns iPage, BlueHost, Hostgator, JustHostet and dozens of ppoopular * hosting brands. As a result, FatCow is not only competing with itself. It is also competing with its partner companies.
I tested FatCow on 2009 and I had a positive impression of its service. I was impressed by the difference of the company and its old-fashioned service. Many things can change in a few years, and this has been the case with FatCow.

I no longer recommend FatCow hosting for a number of reasons:
Limited choice of server location,
Higher price compared to other similar EIG hosting services,
Incentive sales practices, and
Slow server response time (according to Michael Bely’s experiments).
